3 AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE
4 RECEIVED BY EACH OF SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS,
5
6 AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN QUAPAW CENTRAL
7 BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 5 OF
8 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.

11 WHEREAS, two - thirds in value of the property owners
12 owning property adjoining the locality to be affected and
13
14 situated in Quapaw Central Business Improvement District
15 No. 5 of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the purpose of
16 constructing, establishing and maintaining common
17
improvements within the District, such as lighting,
18
19 landscaping, benches, parking facilities and such other
20 improvements, facilities and services and equipment as may
21
be authorized by Act 162 of 1973 have petitioned the City
22
23 Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for
24 the construction of said improvements, and that the cost
25 thereof be assessed upon the real property of the District
26
27 according to the benefits received; and
28 WHEREAS, the benefits received by each and every lot,
29 block and parcel of real property located in the District
30
31 equal or exceed the local assessment therein; and
32 WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the improvement is
33 $1,134,000;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the several lots, blocks and parcels
of real property in Quapaw Central Business Improvement
District No. 5 of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed
according to the assessment list of said improvement
district, as the same now remains or may hereafter be
changed in the office of the City Clerk, and that five
percent (58) of the assessments on each of said lots, blocks
and parcels shall be collected by the County Collector in
the same manner as the collection of general taxes becoming
due in 1989, and five percent (58) of the assessment shall
be collected annually thereafter until the whole of the
local assessment shall be paid.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from and after its passage.
