State of Arkansas authorizes cities to prepare and adopt

v °I- t WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is in need of an

up -to -date comprehensive street plan for adoption as a
H statement of intent concerning the growth and function of
h a its street and highway pattern; and as a framework and guide
t 3 in further planning and engineering studies; and as a means
C) r ` t of securing for the-City and its citizens the benefits of an

WHEREAS, this street plan has been reviewed by the
t, Pulaski Area Transportation Study and City Engineer of the
�.Alu�•` City of Little Rock and all concerns have been addressed;

Ln roro� WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission after due

L^ notice, reviewed and having conducted public hearings, now
•tom recommends the adoption of the Master Street Plan except for
° the downtown insert; and
co a, : WHEREAS, the public health, welfare and safety of the
Ln O citizens of Little Rock will be protected, promoted and
o benefited by the adoption of this Ordinance.
�jr�h NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF

standards for roads, a listing of major roads, and other
matters, is hereby adopted.

SECTION 4. If conflicts between this Ordinance and 3 2 4
other Cit_v Ordinances should occur, the most restrictive
ordinance shall prevail.
SECTION 5. That Ordinance No. 14,210, adopted
March 16, 1982, is hereby repealed, except for the portion
relating to downtown streets.
SECTION 6. A copy of this ordinance together with text
maps and graphs referred to herein shall be filed in the
Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County as required by
Act 186 of 1957 of the General Assembly of the State of
Arkansas.
SECTION 7. If any section, clause, paragraph,
provision or portion of this ordinance or plan shall be held
invalid or unconstitutional, such holdings shall not affect
any other section, clause, paragraph, provision or portion
of this Ordinance or Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE. ROCK, ARKANAS.

standards for roads, a listing of major roads, and other
matters, is hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. The Master Street plan map which
graphically illustrates the location of the major roads for
the Little Rock planning area is hereby adopted, except for
the downtown insert.
SECTION 3. Until such time as the Planning Commission
recommends a street plan for Downtown, those streets.shall
