1 ORDINANCE NO. 15,600
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR EMERGENCY
REPAIRS TO STORM DRAINAGE LINES AND INLET
STRUCTURES AT THE INTERSECTION OF MARKHAM AND
ARCH STREETS; APPROPRIATING $55,000 FROM THE
SPECIAL PROJECTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept bids and award a contract for emergency repairs to storm
drainage lines and inlet structures at the intersection of
Markham and Arch Streets.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the Special
Projects Fund the sum of $55,000 for said repairs.
SECTION 3. Declaring An Emergency. Due to the hazard to
motorized and pedestrian traffic, and the potential for
increased damage should another major rainfall occur, there is
hereby declared that an emergency exists and therefore this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage.
