AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LAND USE AND ROADS
ON THE UPPER ROCK CREEK LAND USE PLAN
ORDINANCE NO. 15,147, GENERALLY IN AN AREA
NORTH OF KANIS ROAD AND WEST OF THE CITY
LIMITS, AND OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock wishes to make the
Upper Rock Creek Land Use Plan in agreement with other plans
and documents for West Little Rock, and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, after
conducting a public hearing, recommends amending the plan,
and
WHEREAS, this plan covers an area experiencing high
development pressure, the City wishes to assure the plan
shows the most likely development pattern.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Upper Rock Creek Plan is amended
replace public /industrial (hospital) on the southeast
of Rock Creek Parkway and West Loop to commercial and
government service center (southwest corner collector
West Loop).

SECTION 2. The public use (hospital and junior and
senior high school) are moved to a location on the West Loop
between the Parkway and Kanis Road replacing an area
designated public use and multifamily use.
SECTION 3. The Upper Rock Creek Plan is amended to
replace research office park with single family north of the
Parkway and west of an unnamed collector.
SECTION 4. The Upper Rock Creek Plan is amended to
replace single family with office park north of the proposed
parkway and west of the West Loop.
SECTION 5. The Upper Rock Creek Plan is amended to
replace single family with multifamily as a transition from
commercial and office use north of Kanis /the proposed
parkway.
SECTION 6. The Upper Rock Creek Land Use Plan is
amended to replace multifamily with off'i'ce along the north
side of the proposed West Loop east of the proposed parkway.

SECTION 7. The Upper Rock Creek Land Use Plan is
amended to replace single family with multifamily as a
transition from office park to single family paralleling the
proposed parkway north of the proposed West Loop.
SECTION S. The Upper Rock Creek Land Use Plan is
amended to change an LMF area to single family north of
Pride Valley Drive.
SECTION 9. The Upper Rock Creek Land Use Plan is
amended to change an area of multifamily use to LMF north of
Pride Valley Drive.
SECTION 10. The Upper Rock Creek Plan is amended to
change the street pattern to reflect the Little Rock Master
Street Plan Ordinance No. 15,519 and its revisions, both to
date and in the future.
