AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
ROOSEVELT ROAD BETWEEN
AIRPORT DRIVE AND RELOCATED FOURCHE DAM PIKE
IN FACTORIA ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Roosevelt Road between Airport
Drive and Relocated Fourche Dam Pike in Blocks 25, 26, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
and 36 of Factoria Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as
designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Plat
Book 1, Page 248 in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, is no longer needed for corporate purposes, except for public
utility and drainage easement purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Except as stated in Section 2 below, the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street
designated as follows:
A tract of land located in the Nk of the NHS of the NWk of
Section 17 and the Nh of the NE% of the NEC of Section 18, all
in Township 1 North, Range 11 West, City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, being particularly described as
follows:
Commencing at a concrete monument at the NW corner of said
Section 17; thence S 01 °26'18" W along the west line of Section
17 279.70 feet to a point on the north right -of -way line of
East Roosevelt Road, said point also being the Point of
Beginning; thence along said north right -of -way line of East
Roosevelt Road the following bearings and distances: S
88 °11152" E, 320.57 feet; thence S 87 056119" E, 241.29 feet;
thence S 88 °19107" E, 423.28 feet; and thence S 88 °29119" E,
260.39 feet to the intersection of said north right -of -way line
of East Roosevelt Road with the west right -of -way line of
Relocated Fourche Dam Pike; thence along said west right -of -way
line of Relocated Fourche Dam Pike along a non - tangent curve to
the left for a distance of 83.64 feet to the intersection of
said west right -of -way line of Relocated Fourche Dam Pike with
the south right -of -way line of East Roosevelt Road, said non-
tangent curve having a radius of 300.00 feet, a central angle
of 15 °58126 ", and a chord bearing and distance of S 18 °13149" W
83.37 feet; thence along said south right -of -way line of East
Roosevelt Road the following bearings and distances: N
88 008154" W, 278.63 feet; thence N 88 007156" W, 326.79 feet;
thence N 88 605109" W, 616.04 feet; and thence N 88 °11152" W,
689.73 feet to the intersection of said south right -of -way line
of East Roosevelt Road with the east right -of -way line of
Relocated Jones Street; thence along said east right -of -way
line of Relocated Jones Street N 46 °48144" E, 108.95 feet to
the intersection of said east right -of -way line of Relocated
Jones Street with the north right -of -way line of East Roosevelt

Road; thence along said north right -of -way line of East
Roosevelt Road S 88 °11152" E, 612.19 feet to the Point of
Beginning; tract containing 3.351 acres (146,008 S.F.), more
or less.
SECTION 2. The City specifically retains the right to use, and
allow others to use, the former street right -of -way in its entirety as a
public utility and drainage easement.
SECTION 3. Abutting owners of record, receiving title to the
abandoned right -of -way and easement shall at their cost remove all
vestiges of public use and access as may exist; such modifications shall
include, but are not limited to the following:
A. The entrances on both ends of the abandoned right -of -way and
easement shall be offset and /or rebuilt to conform to the
standard driveway design as required by Ordinance No. 12,501.
B. The edge of pavement of the right -of -way shall be rebuilt to
conform to existing conditions in the general vicinity where
the abandoned right -of -way and easement intersects with the
remaining public right -of -way.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
