AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE
OF LIBRARY MATERIALS FOR THE WEST LITTLE ROCK
BRANCH LIBRARY.

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees for the Central Arkansas
Library System expect a shortfall in monies for the construction
of the West Little Rock Library along with the purchase of library
materials, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees for the Central Arkansas
Library System has appropriated funds in 1988 and in 1989 to help
offset this shortfall but is still in need of additional funding,
and
WHEREAS, earnings on bond sale proceeds are expected to
exceed that necessary to fully fund the $39,115,000
Capital Improvement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated up to the sum of
$260,000 from the 1987 Bond Fund interest on re- investments,
Account #301 -8011 for the purchase of library materials for the
West Little Rock Branch Library.
