AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIVISIONS OF
THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL COURT TO LEVY
FEES TO BE PAID BY PROBATIONERS.

WHEREAS, the Little Rock Municipal Court, Traffic and
Criminal Divisions, are endeavoring to make their probation
services more effective and to provide alternatives to
incarceration or simple payment of a monetary fine when sentencing
those who plead guilty or are convicted of offenses before the
court.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Municipal Court, Traffic and
Criminal Divisions, are hereby authorized to levy fees to be paid
by probationers, either supervised or unsupervised, during the
probationary period set by the respective court. Payment of the
fee may be made a condition of granting or continuing probation.
SECTION 2. The fees shall be no less than fifteen dollars
($15.00), nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) per probationer.
