ORDINANCE NO. 15,703 217
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 36 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATION OF VARIOUS
SECTIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE
INSERTION OR DELETION OF USE LISTINGS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That Chapter 36 of the Code of Ordinances
be amended as follows:
Subsection a That Section 36- 300.(c)(1) permitted
uses be modified to permit the insertion of two (2) new
use listings and the serial restructuring of the
entries accordingly. These are to read as follows:
- Plant Sales Temporary /Open Display
- Lawn and Garden Center /Enclosed
Subsection b That Section 36- 300.(c)(2) conditional

uses be modified to permit the insertion of one (1) new
conditional use listing and the serial restructuring of
the entries accordingly to read as follows:

Subsection c That Section 36- 301.(c)(1) permitted

use listings and the serial restructuring of the
entries accordingly to read as follows:

Subsection m That Section 36 -299. "C -1," Neighborhood
Commercial, be modified for purposes of deletion of the
words "Catering Service" from the permitted use
listing c(1)g. and insertion within the conditional use
listing c(2) and retitled "Catering /Commercial ".
Subsection n That Section 36- 300.(c)(1)(p) and
36- 301.(c)(1)o. be modified to change the language of
the listings from "Catering Service" to
"Catering /Commercial ".

(6) Home Occupation
a. Home occupations shall be permitted
that will not:
1. Change the outside appearance of the
dwelling or provide product display
visible from the street.
2. Generate traffic, parking, sewage or
water use in excess of what is normal in
the residential neighborhood.
3. Create a hazard to persons or property,
result in electrical interference, or
become a nuisance.
4. Result in outside storage or display of
any material or product.
5. Involve accessory buildings.
6. Result in signage beyond that which may
be required by other government
agencies.
7. Limited to five hundred (500) square
feet in area, but in no case more than
forty -nine (49) percent of the floor
area in a dwelling.
8. Stock in trade shall not exceed ten (10)
percent of the floor area of the
accessory use.

SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect
thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
