ORDINANCE NO. 14,953
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE
RECODIFICATION OF THE LITTLE ROCK CODE OF
ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, the current Little Rock Code of Ordinances was
initially prepared in 1961 and has been supplemented 91 times
since that date; and
WHEREAS, the Code has never been recodified and is
almost unusable, as it has many duplications, ordinances which
are unconstitutional, or ordinances which are in conflict with
state law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated monies not to
exceed $30,000.00 for the recodification of the Little Rock Code
of Ordinances.
SECTION 2. The City of Little Rock will provide copies
of the Code of Ordinances for sale to the public which will help
defray the cost of recodification.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with the Municipal Code Corporation to
perform the recodification process in accordance with this
ordinance.
SECTION 4. These funds are hereby appropriated from the
City's General Fund.
