ORDINANCE NO. 14,696 243
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NC. 14,664 VACATING AND
CLOSING FLORIDA STREET BETWEEN THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY
LINE OF LOT 24, BLOCK 2 AND THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY LINE
OF LOT 1, BLOCK 3, IN RIFFEL AND PHOTON'S FOREST PARK
HIGHLANDS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS., it has been determined that Florida Street
between the Southern Boundary Line of Lot 24, Block 2 and
the Southern Boundary Line of Lot 1, Block 3, in Riffel and
Rhoton's Forest Park Highlands Addition to the City of
Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said Addition now
appearing of record in Deed Book 1, Page 18 in the office
of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, is no longer
needed for corporate purposes, except for public utility and
drainage easement purposes.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, passed Ordinance No. 14,664 on May 15, 1984,
vacating that portion of Florida Street described above.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14,664 did not reflect an easement
of ten feet on either side of existing water facilities which
had been requested by the Little Rock Municipal Water Works.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14,664 should be amended to reflect
said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its right, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the street designated
as follows: All that portion of Florida Street located between
the Southern Boundary Line of Lot 24, Block 2, Riffel and
Rhoton's Forest Park Highlands Addition and the Southern Boundary
Line of Lot 1, Block 3, of the same addition subject, however,
to an easement of ten feet on either side of existing water
facilities in favor of Little Rock Municipal Water Works.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and approval.
