ORDINANCE NO. 14,393
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK ORDINANCE
NO. 14,361, WHICH LEVIED THE 1983 ARKANSAS .
POWER $ LIGHT COMPANY UTILITY FRANCHISE TAX,
TO INCREASE THE TAX LEVIED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Little Rock Ordinance No. 14,361,
which was approved and passed on December 7, 1982, is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. The manufacture, sale, furnishing,
transmission and distribution of electric power
and energy by the Power Company within the City
is hereby declared to be a special privilege
and the use of municipal lands and properties is
a special privilege for such latter privilege the
Power Company shall pay to the City a special fee,
charge or imposition as follows:
For the year 1983 the Power Company shall
pay in equal monthly installments beginning
January 1983, the sum of Four Million, Four
Hundred Thirty Four Thousand, One Hundred
Sixty One Dollars ($4,434,161.00).
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
