ORDINANCE NO. 14,524
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $54,854.50 FROM THE
CITY'S GENERAL FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY OVER TO THE COURT APPOINTED
TRUSTEE IN THE CASE OF CASH ET AL. V. CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, THE SUM OF 512,413.50 IN SATISFACTION
OF THE JUDGMENT OF THE COURT IN THAT MATTER.
WHEREAS, the City has been ordered to pay over to the court
appointed trustee the sum of $512,413.50 as a refund in the
Little Rock Municipal Water Works tax case, viz., Cash, et al. v.
City of Little Rock, No. 81 -4165, Chancery Court of Pulaski
County, First Division; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of $425,000.00 has been previously
appropriated for such purpose; and,
WHEREAS, the sum of $32,560.00 in interest has accrued in
the general fund in accordance with the court's order; and,
WHEREAS, an additional sum of $54,853.50 must be
appropriated to make the required refund,
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general
fund the sum of $54,853.50 for the purpose aforesaid.
Section 2. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
pay over the total of such sums, $512,413.50, to the court
appointed trustee in Cash, et al. v. City of Little Rock, in full
satisfaction of the court's order in the matter.
