AN ORDINANCE. APPROPRIATING TWENTY -FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000.00) FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE
GENERAL FUND TO BE USED FOR SUPPORT OF
THE SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD PROGRAM;
STATING THAT THE APPROPRIATION WILL BE
A LOAN TO BE PAID BACK BY DECEMBER 31,
1983; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the school crossing guard program serves
to protect the health, safety and welfare of the City's
school children.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The school crossing guard program is
hereby declared to be a program which serves to protect
the health, safety and welfare of the City's school children
and support of the program is declared to be a municipal
purpose.

Section 2. Twenty -five thousand dollars are hereby
appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General
Fund to be used for the support of the school crossing guard
program.
Section 3. This board hereby declares its intent
that the appropriation for-the school crossing guard program
is a loan to be repaid by the Little Rock School District by
December 31, 1983.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
