ORDINANCE NO. 14,262
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE BENEFITS TO BE
RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE SEVERAL
LOTS, BLOCKS, AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN RUMMEL
ROAD WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 137 OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a majority in value of the property owners owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in
Rummel Road Water Improvement District No. 137 of Little Rock,
Arkansas, organized to build water distribution lines and facilities
and connecting the same with the City of Little Rock Water Works
water system, and for other purposes as described in the petition,
have petitioned the City Board of Directors of Little Rock, Arkansas,
for the construction of said improvement, and that the cost thereof
be assessed upon the real property in said District according
to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every lot, block
and parcel of real property situated in said District equal or
exceed the local assessment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $60,000;
now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. That the said several lots, blocks and parcels
of real property in said Rummel Road Water Improvement District
No. 137 of Little Rock, Arkansas, be assessed according to the
assessment list for said improvement district as the same now
remains or may hereafter be changed in the office of the City
Clerk, and that ten per centum (10 %) of the assessment of each
of said lots, blocks and parcels shall be collected by the County
Collector with the first installment of the general taxes becoming

due in 1983, and ten per centum (108) of the assessment shall
be collected annually thereafter with the first installment of
the general taxes until the whole of said local assessment shall
be paid.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
