ORDINANCE NO. 14,257
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO
MEDIC -VAC DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. Granting of Franchise. The Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby grants
and extends the current franchise issued to Medic --Vac
for the operation and provision of emergency ambulance
service within the City of Little Rock for an additional
period of 90 days, said 90 days to expire on September
30, 1982.
Section 2. The extension of this franchise is
subject to all the terms and conditions of the present
and existing franchise and subject to revocation by the
Board of Directors upon cause as specified in the existing
Ordinance.
Section 3. Emergency. It is hereby found and
determined that there is an immediate and urgent need
for the extension of the ambulance franchise and that
such extension is necessary to the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety of the citizens of
Little Rock. Therefore, an emergency is declared to
exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
