AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE SUBURBAN DEVELOPMENT
PLAN ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 13,874 FROM "SF"
SINGLE FAMILY TO "LI" LIGHT INDUSTRY AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, in Resolution No. 23 of March 30, 1982,
recommended an amendment to the Suburban Development Plan, and
WHEREAS, a demand for light industrial uses is evident in the existing
development pattern in the area north of I -30 in the vicinity of McDaniel Drive,
and
WHEREAS, there is little likelihood that the area in question will develop
residentially as indicated in the Suburban Development Plan, and
WHEREAS, periodic amendments to the Plan are needed in order to maintain
it as an accurate and up -to -date indicator of community intentions with respect
to development in the Suburban Area, and
WHEREAS, staff has analyzed the existing land use pattern, zoning, and
Plan designations for the area and has determined that a Plan amendment is
appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors hereby deletes the "SF" Single Family
designation east and west of McDaniel Drive and north of I -30 as illustrated
on the attached exhibit.
SECTION 2. The above described deletion is replaced by "LI" Light Industry.
SECTION 3. This amendment to the Suburban Development Plan shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage.
