ORDINANCE NO. 14,214 207
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
A CONTRACT FOR DOZER REPAIR; WAIVING A COMPETITIVE
BIDDING IN THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR DOZER REPAIR;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, an exceptional situation exists in the award of a
contract for dozer repair, and competitive bidding should be waived
due to the fact that Little Rock Road Machinery Company is the only
local company which can do the work; and
WHEREAS, the Staff has recommended that the contract for
dozer repair be awarded to Little Rock Road Machinery Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract to Little Rock Road Machinery Company for dozer repair.
SECTION 2. An exceptional situation is hereby declared to
exist and competitive bidding is hereby waived in the awarding of
a contract for dozer repair, due to the fact that Little Rock
Road Machinery Company is the only local company which can do
the work.
SECTION 3. Unless the provisions of this Ordinance are put
into effect immediately, the public peace, health and safety of
the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affected; therefore,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
