ORDINANCE NO. 14,169
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 14,157
ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 635
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14,157 was passed by the City
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on
November 17, 1981, establishing Street Improvement District
No. 635; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 14,157 appointed Joseph Mullen,
Robert F. Janes, and Robert A. ( "Bob ") Peck as commissioners
composing the Board of Improvement for said District; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas,finds that the aforesaid Robert A. ( "Bob ")
Peck has failed to take the required statutory oath of office
as such commissioner and has failed to file the same in the office
of the Clerk of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, within the
time required by law, and he is therefore taken to have declined
the appointment as such commissioner pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann.
§20 -115; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, is required to appoint another person, having
the like qualifications, in place of the aforesaid Robert A.
( "Bob ") Peck; and
WHEREAS, William P. Wiggins is found by the City Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to have the
required qualifications to serve as such commissioner of the
said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The last paragraph of Section 1 of Ordinance
No. 14,157 establishing Street Improvement District No. 635 is
hereby amended to read in full as follows:
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 635; and Joseph Mullen, Robert F. Janes,
and William P. Wiggins are hereby named commissioners,
who shall compose the Board of Improvement for said
District.
Section 2. Except as otherwise amended herein, Ordinance
No. 14,157 establishing Street Improvement District No. 635 is
hereby reaffirmed and readopted in its entirety.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
