ORDINANCE NO. 14,146
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 15 -1(1),
15-.1(2), AND 15 -1(4) TO INCREASE GARBAGE
COLLECTION FEES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Section 15 -1(1) is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"For each single residence, duplex or unit of
multiple dwelling utilizing City approved con-
tainers serviceable by manpower, the sum of six
dollars and twenty -five cents ($6.25) per month;
such fees shall be collected monthly and billed
on the statement for water for said premises
and be the debt and obligation of the person,
firm, or corporation in whose name the water
meter for said residence, duplex or unit of
multiple dwelling is listed."
Section 2. Section 15 -1(2) is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"For each multiple dwelling or commercial property
utilizing City approved, privately owned containers
not capable of being serviced, except by manpower,
the fee will be two dollars and thirty -five
cents ($2.35) per month per cubic yard material
handled. Such fees shall be collected monthly
and be billed on the statement for water
for the premises served and be the debt and
obligation of the person, firm or corporation
in whose name the water meter or meters for
such multiple dwelling or commercial property
is listed."
Section 3. Section 15 -1(4) is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"The fees and the collection thereof as herein -
above provided shall become effective on
January 1, 1982."
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage - and approval.
