HomeMy WebLinkAbout84011 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 432 RESOLUTION NO. 8,401 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE ?EM,BURGER FIRM OF LITTLE, ROCK FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR CLOSING THE EXISTING CITY LANDFILL AT 10,900 IRONTON ROAD. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2 -243 of the Code of Ordinances, the Professional Services Selection Committee reviewed requests for qualification for engineering services for closing the existing City Landfill; and WHEREAS, this contract is the first phase of a much larger study which will provide the preliminary plan for a solid waste disposal system for all of Pulaski County; and WHEREAS, the engineering for this contract is for the benefit of the City of Little Rock only, and will not be included in the larger study; and WHEREAS, participating jurisdictions will share in the expenses of the larger study. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with The Mehlburger Firm of Little Rock, in an amount not to exceed $61,000 ($55,375.00 plus 10% contingency), for engineering services for closing the the existing City Landfill at 10,900 Ironton Road. SECTION 2: Funding for this contract is available from a special project, Account No. 210 -0137, Federal and State Upgrade.
