RESOLUTION NO. 8,341
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
WITH SPAGHETTI WAREHOUSE, INC. FOR USE OF A
PORTION OF EAST THIRD AND MCLEAN STREETS FOR
RENOVATION OF THE FORMER CHOCTAW RAILROAD
STATION, FOR PARKING REQUIREMENTS AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock's parking requirements
initially called for Spaghetti Warehouse, Inc. to anticipate
demolition of the historic Alexander- George House adjacent to the
Chocta\w_Railroad Station; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to preserve the historical and
architectural significance of the Alexander- George House, the City
has determined that other parking options are available by use of
the public right -of -way of McLean Street and Third Street which is
situated to the East of the Choctaw Railway Station and which is
the current site of unused railroad tracks lying in the
right -of -way and running North to the Arkansas River; and
WHEREAS, Spaghetti Warehouse, Inc. has indicated that if a
franchise is granted to a portion of East Third and McLean Streets
for parking, Spaghetti Warehouse will charitably convey the
Alexander- George House and a portion of real property to a local
preservation organization for the establishment of a revolving
fund to save the George House and other historic and
architecturally significant buildings in the City of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: A franchise is hereby granted to Spaghetti
Warehouse, Inc. to use a portion of McLean and East Third Streets
per the attached legal description for the renovation of the
former Choctaw Railroad Station, for improvements thereon,
parking, landscaping and fencing as may be required pursuant by
the Little Rock City Code.
SECTION 2: This resolution amends previous Resolution No.
8,269 also authorizing a franchise agreement to the Spaghetti
Warehouse for use of a portion of East Third and McLean Streets to
the extent of any inconsistency found therein.

effect from and after its adoption and approval.

Beginning at the NE Corner of Block 9, Russell's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, point being on the South line of
East Second Street and being on the West line of McLean Street;
thence S 88° 34' E, along said South line of East Second Street
60.02 feet to a point, said point being on the East line of McLean
Street; thence South along said East line of McLean Street 304.1
feet to a point, said point being on the North line of East Third
Street; thence N 880 34' W along said North line of East Third
Street 60.02 feet to a point, said point being the SE corner of
Block 3, Rectortown to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
being on the West line of McLean Street; thence North along said
West line of McLean Street 304.1 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 18,246.00 square feet more or less.

the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence south along the east
line of Byrd Street 13.5 feet; thence S 880 34' E parallel to and
13.5 feet south of the north line of East Third Street 300.0 feet
to the east line of McLean Street; thence north 13.5 feet to the
SE Corner of said Block 3; thence N 880 34' W along the north
line of East Third Street 300.0 feet to the point of beginning
containing 4050 S.F. more or less.
Parcel "B" - Beginning at the SE Corner of Block 3, Rectortown to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence south along the west
line of McLean Street 13.5 feet; thence S 880 34' E 17.67 feet;
thence N 10 24' E 13.5 feet; thence N 880 34' W 18.0 feet to the
point of beginning containing 242.2 S.F. more or less.
