A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT
BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
FOR THE SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM FOR THE DEPARTMENT
OF PARKS AND RECREATION.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award a contract for transportation services for the
Summer Playground Program in an amount not to exceed $7,684.50 to
the Little Rock School District, Department of Transportation for
the Department of Parks and Recreation.

RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: It is recommended that the City
accept the proposal by the Little Rock School District for
transportation services. Their proposal of $7,684.50 is based on
an estimated 231 trips which could vary due to weather conditions
or participation. Bids were taken for comparison and only one
response was received which was $22,407.00 for the estimated 231
trips.
