RESOLUTION NO. 8.239 49 6
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND OTHER CITIES PARTICIPATING
IN THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS TRANSIT AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors authorized entry into an
agreement with other cities in Pulaski County to participate in
the Central Arkansas Transit Authority on July 14, 1986; and
WHEREAS, this agreement expires at midnight on December 31,
1989; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to renew the agreement for
the next sixty days to consider the existing terms and conditions;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to the health, safety and welfare
of the citizens in the county to have a public transit system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The Mayor is authorized to enter into an
extension of the existing agreement concerning the Central
Arkansas Transit Authority to and including midnight, March 1, 1990.
SECTION 2: The City authorizes agreement to an amendment
of Section 6.03 of the existing agreement in order to effect this
60 -day extension of the agreement.
SECTION 3: All laws and parts of laws inconsistent with
this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
