HomeMy WebLinkAbout81921 RESOLIITION NO. 8,192 374' 2 3 4 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS 5 FROM THE 1988 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOND PROJECT FOR 6 IMPROVEMENTS TO HISTORIC BUILDING FACADES AS APPROVED 7 IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. 8 9 10 WHEREAS, Ordinance #15,473 appropriated funds from the 1988 11 Capital Improvement Bond sale proceeds for projects which 12 included: $800,000 for the purpose of matching on a 13 dollar- for - dollar basis funds provided for South Main Improvement 14 District and the Facade Grant Program; and 15 WHEREAS, Ordinance #15,499 appropriated $300,000 for the 16 South Main Improvement District project, thereby leaving a balance 17 of $500,000 to be used for the Facade Grant Program; and 18 WHEREAS, Resolution #8146 authorized the expenditure of 19 $500,000 for improvements to the Historic Building facades as 20 approved by the Architectural Review Committee; and 21 WHEREAS, Resolution #7886 has previously allocated monies 22 to be used for facade improvements to the Arkansas Repertory 23 Theatre project; and 24 WHEREAS, the Architectural Review Committee for the Facade 25 Grant Program has reviewed and approved additional applications 26 for specific projects. 27 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 28 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 29 SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend 30 funds from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Project, Account No. 31 301 -8516 for the following projects and the specific amounts 32 listed: 33 300 SPRING BUILDING AT 300 SPRING STREET $29,050 34 AUDIO VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS AT 1123 W. 3RD $14,778 35 SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH AT 8TH & CUMBERLAND $56,065 36 TOTAL $99,893 R -37 a -)y 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 SECTION 2: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
