RESOLUTION NO. 8,115
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING A. J. ALMAND FOR HIS
DEDICATION AND SUPPORT OF THE LITTLE ROCK CITY
BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Mr. A. J. Almand has served as a member of the
Little Rock City Beautiful Commission for eleven years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Almand was instrumental in the landscaping
of the triangle at Second and Cumberland Streets; and
WHEREAS, he assisted in the acquisition of property and
the creation of a landscaped traffic island at Twelfth Street
and Fair Park Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, through his efforts approximately 150,000
dogwood seedlings were planted in the City of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby
expresses its appreciation on behalf of the citizens of Little
Rock to Mr. A. J. Almand for his many years of dedication,
hardwork and service to the City of Little Rock as a member of
the City Beautiful Commission.
