A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1989 COMPREHENSIVE
HOMELESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR AN ENTITLE-
MENT GRANT UNDER THE EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, as a CDBG entitlement
city, is eligible for funding under the Stewart B. McKinney
Homeless Assistance Act; and
WHEREAS, funds are available this year for the Emergency
Shelter Grant program; and
WHEREAS, the United Way Homeless Shelter Committee and
City staff have developed a plan for implementation and funding
from local providers of homeless assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby
approves the City's 1989 Comprehensive Homeless Assistance
Program and authorizes the City Manager to make application for
an entitlement grant under the Emergency Shelter Grant
Program.
