A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE HONORABLE TOM MILTON,
CITY DIRECTOR, FOR DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Tom Milton has unselfishly served the citizens
of Little Rock as a City Director since January 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, Tom Milton, in earning the respect of his fellow
directors, has exhibited a thoroughness of knowledge about
important issues facing the Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, under Tom Milton's leadership, the City's first
anti - smoking ordinance and the City's first professional
services selection ordinance were enacted into law; and
WHEREAS, under Tom Milton's guidance a canine division
was developed within the Little Rock Police Department which has
greatly enhanced the City's ability to deter crimes while at the
same time save the lives of police officers; and
WHEREAS, during his four years of service to the citizens
of Little Rock, Tom Milton has spent literally thousands of
hours dealing with the multitude of citizens concerns,
particularly their health, safety and welfare as reflected by
the City's first rate police and fire departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors for the City of Little
Rock, on behalf of the entire community, wishes to extend its
heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Tom Milton, Director of the
City of Little Rock, for his unselfish and dedicated service to
the citizens of this community.
