NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 2 -44 of the Little Rock Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, the City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Environmental Systems Research Institute to provide computer software and hardware for Phase I of the Pulaski Area Geographic Information System (PAGIS). SECTION 2. Funds have previously been appropriated for this system and are currently available in Account Number 210 - 220 -0038. PHASE I AUGUST 1, 1988 BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Adoption of a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) for $378,540 to provide computer software and hardware for Phase I of the Pulaski Area Geographic Information Systems ( PAGIS). The PAGIS Phase I encompases 6 square miles within the City; 2 square miles in the downtown area and 4 square miles in the developing area in the vicinity of I -630 and I -430. In Phase I, PAGIS will test the Geographic Information System applications, encourage future users of the system and prepare for full implementation over the next few years. PAGIS has completed the Aerial Photography, Ground Control and Analytical Triangulation Project which was approved by the Board of Directors in February of this year. This contract with ESRI will provide the basic software and hardware needed to begin the first phase of the Geographic Information System. ESRI is the leading GIS software developer in the country and they provided the most highly developed GIS software and hardware package at the lowest cost. The selection of ESRI was made in accordance with all City procedures. PAGIS received proposals from ESRI of Redlands, California; Geovision of Ottawa, Canada; Integraph of Huntsville, Alabama; McDonald Douglas of St. Louis, Missouri; IBM of Little Rock, and Wild Heerbrugg of Englewood, Colorado. The selection committee members were as follows: Bob Lane City of Little Rock Dale Russom Little Rock Municipal Water Works John Barr Little Rock Wastewater Utility James Rhodes Pulaski County Assessor's Office Ann Razor City of Little Rock The cost for this contract will be shared by the City, Little Rock Wastewater Utility and the Little Rock Municipal Water Works. The City of Little Rock's share of $227,124 is available in account number 210 - 220 -0038. CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
