RESOLUTION NO. 7.900
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO WEAVER- BAILEY
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR STREET AND DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE STEPHENS SCHOOL AREA.
NOW, THEREFOREo BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award a contract to Weaver - Bailey Construction Company
for street and drainage improvements for the Stephens School Area,
for a total price not to exceed the budget, payable from funds
currently being held in Account No. 12100 -4.

It is recommended that the bid submitted by Weaver - Bailey be accepted.
The low bid submitted by Gene Summers Construction, Inc. is being
disqualified due to past performance on previous CDBG projects, (see
attached letter from the City Manager). The engineer's estimate for
this project was $175,702.00.
