NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Bruce Oakley, Inc. for the purchase of bulk rock salt at the rate of $30.00 a ton through March 31, 1988, not to exceed budget, and payable from funds specified in the fact sheet. : February 2, 1988 ATTEST: JA 11 1 %i CITY LERK JANE HCH APPROVED ASS TO ORM: MARK STODOLA, CITY ATTORNEY APPROVED: MAYOR LO'i _ IF. We have bid the salt the last two years and Oakley is the only supplier. This year they failed to submit their bid on time but have written a letter of agreement to supply the City with salt at $30.00 a ton through March 31, 1988. This price is less than last year's, therefore this appears to be an equitable offer. Since the amount bought is dependent on the weather conditions, it is conceiv- able that this contract could exceed $20,000. Curing the snow storm of January 6, 1988, approximately $7500.00 was spent on salt. me = = = Eb = 14541w avlOY9 J110, P.O. BOX 3551 NORTH LITTLE ROCK.
