RESOLUTION NO. 7,879
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RALPH E. BEADLE, SARA
A. BEADLE, ROBERT BEADLE AND MARILYN L. BEADLE
FOR THE DONATION OF THIRTEEN LOTS CONTAINING
APPROXIMATELY FIVE ACRES IN THE FOURCHE BOTTOMS.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock and the Corps of Engineers
are currently participating in an extensive channelization project
along the Fourche Creek due to extreme flooding problems; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is responsible for the
acquisition of thousands of acres of property along Fourche Creek
so that these flooding problems can be brought under control; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of property along Fourche Creek is
a tremendous, yet necessary expense to be borne by the taxpayers
of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, Ralph Beadle, Sara Beadle, Robert Beadle and
Marilyn Beadle have chosen to donate to the City of Little Rock
their property along Fourche Creek rather than require the City to
purchase it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors wishes to recognize
Ralph Beadle, Sara Beadle, Robert Beadle and Marilyn Beadle for
their contribution of land along Fourche Creek and to commend them
for their generosity.
