A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF AN ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL BY THE GREATER LITTLE ROCK
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

WHEREAS, the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is
currently planning the creation of an Economic Development
Council; and
WHEREAS, said Economic Development Council will stress
and program for the promotion and marketing of Little Rock
and Central Arkansas as a method of enhancing economic
development and job creation; and
WHEREAS, economic development and job creation continue
to be goals advanced by the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock desires to participate
with the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce in the
planning of a viable and effective area marketing program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock supports the
creation of an Economic Development Council by the Greater
Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.
