RESOLUTION NO. 7,853
A RESOLUTION OF THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD OF
DIRECTORS EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION TO
ALL PARTIES RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS RECEIPT OF
THE "COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DEVELOPMENT AWARD"
GIVEN BY THE ARKANSAS CHAPTER OF THE
AMERICAN PLANNING ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock was recently awarded the
"Comprehensive Plan Development Award" by the Arkansas Chapter of
the American Planning Association for the development of an
extraterritorial land use plan; and
WHEREAS, the Extraterritorial Land Use Plan is an
exceptional example of a visionary planning document which
provides our City guidance for the continued development of Little
Rock into the 21st century; and
WHEREAS, such a plan would not have been developed but for
the collective energies, guidance and direction of several
individuals and organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors for the City of Little
Rock wishes to express its appreciation to each member of the
Little Rock Planning Commission for the long hours and hard work
given toward passage of the Extraterritorial Land Use Plan.
SECTION 2. The Little Rock Board of Directors also wishes
to express its appreciation to the staffs of the Office of
Comprehensive Planning and the Department of Public Works for
their contributions to this project.
SECTION 3. Particular gratitude and appreciation are
extended to the City's extraterritorial land use consultants,
Manes, Castin, Massie & McGetrick, and Garver & Garver for
