BOARD OF DIRECTORS DECLARING THEIR INTENT

TO AMEND THE HIGHWAY 10 LAND USE PLAN FROM

SINGLE FAMILY TO OFFICE AT FAIRVIEW ROAD

WHEREAS, the Highway 10 District 1 Land Use Plan was
ro

adopted by Ordinance No. 15,083 of May 20, 1986 and,
10
WHEREAS, the approved plan illustrated the tract of
11
land on Fairview Road then occupied by the 8 Wheels Skating
=
12
Rink as single family, and
13
WHEREAS, previous staffed Planning Commission studies
14
had indicated this area as an office use, and
15
WHEREAS,,the City Board of Directors designated this
16
area as single family pending future development in the
17
area, and
18
WHEREAS, a development proposal has been submitted to
19
redevelop the 8 Wheels site as an office use.
20
WHEREAS, the proposed use appears to the staff,
21
Planning Commission and neighbors as a good adaptive reuse
22
of the property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD

OF DIRECTORS:

SECTION 1. The City Board of Directors hereby declares
26
their intent to amend the Highway 10 District Land Use Plan
27
from single family to office
28
SECTION 2. The City Board of Directors hereby
29
instructs the City staff to make the necessary legal
30
advertisements and process the plan amendment.
