RESOLUTION NO. 7,833
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
INITIATE NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE ARKANSAS
COMMUNITY HOUSING CORPORATION; DETAILING
MINIMUM AREAS TO BE DISCUSSED; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock contracted with Arkansas
Community Housing Corporation (ACHC) for housing renovation; and
WHEREAS, the renovation of houses is being accomplished and
is on schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors is concerned
about several policy and administrative issues regarding this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is directed to initiate
negotiations with ACHC in order to amend the contract.
SECTION 2. The minimum areas to be discussed in the
negotiations include: 1) ownership of properties in this project;
2) the land trust concept; 3) ACHC Board vacancies; and 4)
administration of acquisition, renovation and financing.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is further directed to keep
the Board of Directors apprised of the progress of these
negotiations.
