A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT TO MILAM
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE 1986 MINOR
DRAINAGE PROJECTS.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award a contract to Milam Construction Company for the
1986 Minor Drainage Projects, for a total price not to exceed
$75,000.00. Funds are currently being held in Account No.
499 -8684 for these projects.

SUBJECT 1986 Minor Drainage Projects /
Discussion: On June 3, 1987 bids were opened for construction of "1986 Minor
Drainage Projects ". Milam Construction Company, Inc., submitted the low bid of
$65,759.48 for the project. Funds are appropriated in Account No. 499 -8684.
Following is a list of the eight (8) drainage improvement projects and a map is
attached:
1. 6110 Battle Road
2. Shady Grove Lane
3. Green Mountain at Rodney Parham Road
4. Drexel Avenue at Republic Lane
5. 24th and High Streets
6. Pine Mountain Drive
7. Jackson Street at Princeton Drive
8. #4 Ranch Valley Drive
Recommended Action: Obtain approval from the Board of Directors to authorize the
City Manager to enter into contract with Milam Construction Company, Inc., for
$75,000 for construction of said project. The amount includes 15% for contingency.
