RESOLUTION NO. 71795
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO COLONEL
ROBERT WHITEHEAD, DISTRICT COMMANDER, FOR HIS
SERVICES AS DISTRICT ENGINEER AT THE LITTLE ROCK
CORPS OF

WHEREAS, Colonel Robert Whitehead has served as District
Commander for the Little Rock District Corps of Engineers for the
past three years; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as District Commander of the
Corps, Colonel Whitehead has directed actions that assured the
safety and welfare of the citizens of Little Rock during times in
which flooding of the Arkansas River threatened the City; and
WHEREAS, the McClellan -Kerr River Navigation Project
continues to be a source of commerce and pride to the citizens of
the City of Little Rock and as such is under the direction
control and operation of the.District Commander of the Little Rock
District of the Corps of Engineers; and
WHEREAS, Colonel Whitehead will be leaving the Little Rock
District on June 16, 1987 and relocating to Fort Leonard Wood,
Missouri.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby
wishes to express its appreciation to Colonel Robert Whitehead for
the dedication and hard work he has exhibited during his tenure
with the Little Rock District Corps of Engineers.
