RESOLUTION NO, 7,737
A RESOLUTION' SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE
OF HOUSE BILL 1217 BY THE 76th
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Representative Myra Bones of Little Rock has
proposed House Bill 1817 to the 76th General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is a member of the
Central Arkansas Transit Authority; and
WHEREAS, House Bill 1817 would authorize a special
local sales tax to be used exclusively for public mass
transportation systems; and
WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Transit Authority is
currently faced with the need for alternative funding, and House
Bill 1817 would be a new source of revenue; and
WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Transit Authority has
recuested this Board's endorsement of House Bill 1817.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby
expresses its support for House Bill 1817 and urgzs all members
of the 76th General Assembly to support the as sage of said
Bill.
