3 A RESOLUTION COMMENDING COACH MIKE NEWELL
4 AND THE TROJAN EASKETEALL TEAM OF THE
5 UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT LITTLE ROCK.

7 WHEREAS, under the dynamic and energetic leadership of
8 Head Basketball Coach Mike Newell, the Trojans of the University
9 of Arkansas at Little Rock finished their regular season by
10 winning twenty -two (22) games; and
11 WHEREAS, the Trojans will begun tournament play in
12 the Trans America Athletic Conference on Thursday, March 5, 1987
13 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and
14 WHEREAS, the second and third rounds of the TAAC
15 tournament will be held in Little Rock at the Statehouse
16 Convention Center.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
18 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby"
20 commends Coach Mike Ne °,•Tell and the Trojan Basketball Team of
21 the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for its outstanding
performance during their regular seascn in winning the Conference
22
title.

SECTION 2. The Board of Directors and the citizens
24
25 of Little Rock wish to extend to the Trojan Basketball Team and
Coach Newell their best wishes for their success in the Trans
26
America Athletic Conference tournament.

SECTIUN 3. The Little Rock Board of Directors urges
28 all residents of the State of Arkansas to attend the tournament
29 and support the Trojans in their endeavors for success.
