RESOLUTION NO. 7,730
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE
PANKEY AREA.
WHEREAS, many of the residents in the Pankey Community
of Little Rock live in structures which are built on or encroach
on platted street rights -of -way; and
WHEREAS, many of these improvements as well as the streets
in Pankey were constructed in the most convenient alignment without
regard to the platted street rights -of -way; and
WHEREAS, these conflicting alignments have created
considerable problems for the City and the people who live in
these residences; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of all the parties
involved that the Board of Directors establish a policy for
rectifying this problem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. It is the policy of the Board of Directors that
from time to time when such discrepancies are brought to the
attention of the City of Little Rock that the City shall execute
a quitclaim deed to the affected property owner as to that portion
of the platted street right -of -way so as to provide to the property
owner a legal description in conformance with the actual property
the owner controls.
SECTION 2. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the
Mayor to execute from time to time such quitclaim deeds as are
necessary to the affected property owners in the Pankey area.
