54.
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A FRANCHISE TO
METROCENTRE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO
USE THE AIR SPACE ABOVE PART OF THE
RIGHT -OF -WAY IN THE 100 BLOCK OF EAST
SIXTH STREET, BETWEEN SCOTT AND MAIN
STREETS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUC-
TION OF AN ENCLOSED SKYWALK; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. A franchise is hereby granted to Metrocentre
Improvement District to use a part of the air space above the
100 Block of East Sixth Street, between Scott and Main Streets,
approximately twelve (12) feet wide, twenty (20) feet high and
sixty (60) feet long, totaling approximately fourteen thousand four
hundred (14,400) cubic feet, for a skywalk whose lowest elevation
will be no less than fifteen (15) feet above the highest grade of
the street. Structural support piers shall maintain a minimum lateral
clearance from the back of the curb of 2' -0" except at north end of
bridge, due to an existing canopy projection, the 2' -0" minimum
dimensions shall be measured from the face of the curb.
Section 2. This resolution shall remain in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval. The City reserves
the right to revolk said Franchise approval in the event of failure to
comply with the requirements of approval or in the event of a public
need superior to the use granted.
