RESOLUTION NO. 7.715
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS FOR SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS TO
BOOKER HOMES PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT FROM
THE APPROVED ECONOMIC AND NEIGHORHOOD
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has approved the Economic
and Neighborhood Development Program and appropriated funds to
assist in the improvement and revitalization of sections of the
community; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to work with and through
established groups and neighborhoods in forging partnerships in
the pursuit of needed improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock
was created to help meet the minimum housing needs of low income
families through public housing; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock
has requested matching funds for security improvements to Booker
Homes public housing project in the amount of $8,250 for
clearance of undergrowth and debris, thirty (30) security lights
and two thousand (2,000) feet of chain link fence; and
WHEREAS, the City is concerned about and interested in the
improvement of occupancy rates at Booker Homes and the protection
of the health, safety and welfare of existing residents and
property; and
WHEREAS, $100,000 exists within the neighborhood
partnership section of the Economic and Neighborhood Development
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized an expenditure of
$8,250 from the Economic and Neighborhood Development Program of

SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
