A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, SETTING
THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO FIX RATES
TO BE CHARGED BY THE LITTLE ROCK WASTEWATER
UTILITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15,235 was passed January 6, 1987,
which increased monthly charges for customers of the Little Rock
Wastewater Utility; and
WHEREAS, it is uncertain as to whether a public hearing is
required for such increase; and
WHEREAS, because of the necessity of a stable rate structure
to support proposed and anticipated bond issues for construction,
improvement and expansion of Little Rock Wastewater Utility
facilities and the refinancing of existing issues; and
WHEREAS, another Ordinance is being introduced to create
stability in the rate structure;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, will hold a public hearing on Tuesday,
February 3, 1987, at 6:00 o'clock P. M., in the Board of
Directors Chamber, 2nd Floor, City Hall, Markham and Broadway,
Little Rock, Arkansas, for the purpose of considering the
clarifying and changing of existing ordinances fixing rates
for the customers of the Little Rock Wastewater Utility and
changing the Extra Strength Surcharge for the discharge of
wastewater having excessive biochemical oxygen demand, total
suspended solids content or oil and grease.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
