MEMORANDUM
December 18, 1986
TO: Mayor and of Directors
FROM: Thomas, City Manager
SUBJECT: Drainage—Improvement Project
Callagahan Creek - Otter Creek Subdivision Area
BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Authorize the City Manager to enter into
contract with Tankersley Construction Company for construction of ditch
improvements for Callagahan Creek in the Otter Creek Subdivision area, for an
amount not to exceed project funding.
DISCUSSION: This project is a joint project between the City and the primary
developer of Otter Creek Subdivision, Rock Venture. This joint project will reduce
flooding of existing homes upstream from the Otter Creek Parkway bridge at an
extremely low cost to both the City and developer. it is important to realize that
the developer is under no requirement to participate in the ditch improvements. A
joint project will benefit the entire Otter Creek area.
Project funds have been allocated in Account #499-8672 for drainage projects. The
cost of the project is estimated at $33,500. The developers contribution (50% of
the project or up to a maximum of $18,000) will be entered into the above
account as it is received by the City.
