RESOLUTION NO. 6.875
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNAL POLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitations to bid were duly advertised,
and bids received pursuant thereto are attached as an Exhibit
for traffic signal poles; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder
has been determined, and it is the desire of the Board of-
Directors to authorize the issuance of such contract to the
lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter
into a contract with the bidder named on the attached Exhibit
for a total contract price as set out, the funds for which have
been allocated in the 1982 budget.
Section 2. All work or items purchased hereby shall
comply with the bidding specifications. Upon completion of
the work, receipt of the items, or from time to time as may be
required, the City Manager and the Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants
in payment of the contract price.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption and approval.

SUBJECT: Central Business District
Louisiana Signal Improvements

BOARD ACTION RECOMMENDED: Adoption of a resolution
authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract to
perform construction of traffic signal improvements as part
of the CBD /Louisiana Street project from the lowest
acceptable bidder, Mid State Traffic Control, Inc., of
Oklahoma, at a cost not to exceed budget (total purchase
cost estimate equals $125,111).
This project will consist of contract installation of
underground wiring and traffic signal improvements in the
above referenced area. The present scope of the project
includes Louisiana from 2nd through 6th, and Cumberland at
2nd Street.
Funds available for this purchase were previously
appropriated per Account No. 4099 - 8676 -8.02.
