RESOLUTION NO. 6,851
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO THE ARKANSAS CONGRESSIONAL
REPRESENTATIVES FOR PAST SUPPORT AND
CONTINUED STRONG SUPPORT FOR FUNDING
OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS FLOOD
CONTROL PROJECT PLAN VII -A; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Congressional delegation has
shown past support for attempts to obtain funding for the
Corps of Engineers Flood Control Project based on Plan
VII -A; and
WHEREAS, Congressmen Bumpers, Pryor, Bethune and
Hammerschmidt took the time to meet with the Secretary of
the Army to discuss area needs for flood control.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section I. Appreciation is hereby expressed to the
Arkansas Congressional delegation for its past support and
its continued strong support for funding of the Corps of
Engineers Flood Control Project which is based on Plan
VII -A.
Section 2. A special thank you and expression of
appreciation is hereby extended to Congressmen Bumpers,
Pryor, Bethune and Hammerschmidt for their attendance and
participation at a meeting with the Secretary of the Army to
discuss area needs for flood control.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and approval.
