RESOLUTION NO. 6,846
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, EXTENDING AN INVITATION
TO THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MUNICIPAL CLERKS
TO HOLD THE 1988 ANNUAL CONVENTION IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,

Arkansas, hereby extends a cordial invitation to the International
Institute of Municipal Clerks to hold the 1988 annual convention in
the City of Little Rock, the capitol of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Municipal Clerks have long been active in
the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and have an
enthusiastic desire to host the 1988 annual convention of the
Institute; and
WHEREAS, Little Rock, Arkansas is centrally located in the
Continental United States, at the "heart of the heart of the
country" and is conveniently accessible by air and modern freeways;
and
WHEREAS, Little Rock is proud of its Statehouse Convention
Center, which extends along a four block area from Main Street to
Markham Street, overlooking the Arkansas River and Riverfront Park;

WHEREAS, Little Rock is a city of culture and commerce and
Southern hospitality, and would make an enjoyable and memorable site
for the 1988 annual convention of the International Institute of
Municipal Clerks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, hereby extends a cordial invitation to the International
Institute of Municipal Clerks to hold its 1988 annual convention in
the City of Little Rock, the capitol of Arkansas.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
