A RESOLUTION CALLING ON THE UNITED STATES, THE USSR,
AND ALL OTHER NATIONS TO FREEZE PRODUCTION AND DEPLOY-
MENT OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND TO MUTUALLY REDUCE THE
SUPPLY OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
BE IS RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock hereby join with the governing bodies of other cities
and with several state legislatures that have endorsed the call
upon the United States, the USSR and all other nations to stop
the nuclear arms race and specifically the Board of Directors ask
that the United States, the Soviet Union and all other nations
adopt an immediate verifiable mutual freeze from the testing,
production and deployment of nuclear weapons and to mutually
reduce the supply of nuclear weapons.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy
of this Resolution to the following:
States, Vice President of the United
of Representatives; all Senators and
of Arkansas; the U. S. Ambassador to
Soviet Ambassador to the United Stat,
State of Arkansas.
The President of the United
States; Speaker of the House
Congressmen from the State
the United Nations; the
