RESOLUTION NO. 6,789 37
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING SUCCESSOR COMMISSIONERS AND
ELECTING ASSESSORS FOR RIVERDALE LEVEE IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 134 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Riverdale Levee Improve-
ment District No. 134 of Little Rock, Arkansas, has represented
that two of the commissioners of said board desire to resign because
of the press of personal business, to be effective upon the date
their successors are appointed, and all of the members of the
board have recommended the appointment of Marion Burton and Max
Milam as their successors on said board, and said board has further
represented that it has formed plans for the construction of certain
betterments, extensions, and repairs to the improvements of the
system which will necessitate a revision of the assessment of
benefits and that the present.Board of,Assessors.,of.said district
is unavailable for the purpose of making the reassessment of benefits
in the district, and that said board has recommended the appointment
of Leon E. Sneed, Jr. , ! William A. Payne , and
George Fox, Jr.
, qualified electors of the City to
serve as a Board of Assessment of said district; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
1. That the report is approved and Marion Burton and Max
Milam be and they are hereby appointed Commissioners of Riverdale
Levee Improvement District No. 134 of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
succeed R. A. Lile and Glen Rogers as members of the board and
they are directed to forthwith take their oaths of office and
enter upon their duties as such commissioners.
2. That Leon E. Sneed, Jr. r William A. Payne
and George Fox, Jr., be and they are hereby elected
as Assessors to constitute the Board of Assessment for Riverdale
Levee. Improvement District No. 134 of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and they are directed to take their oaths of office and to reassess
the benefits to be received by the land within the district as
justice may require.
