A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
HIS DELEGATE, TO NEGOTIATE A LEASE
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THAYER ST
COMMONLY CALLED THE OLD SANITATION
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY
NEGOTIATED.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock owns real property in
the City located along Thayer Street just off Wright Avenue,
known as the Old Sanitation Site; and, said lands have certain
improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the said lands and improvements have been vacant
for some period of time, and during said period of time, the
said premises has been subjected to a course of vandalism; and,
WHEREAS, George Sego d /b /a GESCO Chemical Company desires
to lease the said premises for a period of one year to conduct
his barrel cleaning business; and,
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that the City lease the
premises to said George Sego for a period of one year more in
the interest of having the premises occupied and thereby:afford
the premises some measure of protection against vandalism,
rather than for the purpose of producing a revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate
with George Sego for the lease of the lands and improvements
belonging to the City of Little Rock which is commonly known as
the Old Sanitation Site, and located along Thayer Street just
off of Wright Avenue, for the purpose of said George Sego using
the said premises for the purpose of his barrel cleaning business;
provided that the terms of the said lease shall not extend beyond
the period of one year.

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized on behalf of
the City of Little Rock to execute the lease agreement negotiated
for the City by the City Manager; and to execute any and all
documents necessary to accomplish that purpose.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
